Catalina is a census-designated place in Arizona , United States , in Pima County . The village is about 40 kilometers north of Tucson .

Catalina is traversed in a north-south direction by Arizona State Route 77 , from which Arizona State Route 79 branches off approximately 5 km further north in a north-westerly direction.

tourism

The village is located on the northern edge of Catalina State Park , which in turn connects to the eastern border of Coronado National Park . To the north of the village are two golf courses, the Mountain View Golf Club and the Saddlebrooke Golf Course . Saddlebrooke is, among other things, a housing estate for retirees.
