Catarina Carsten

Catarina Carsten (born April 23, 1920 in Berlin ; † October 14, 2019 in Puch near Hallein ) was a German-Austrian writer .

Life

Catarina Carsten lived in the Allgäu from 1945 . From 1947 to 1958 she worked for the " Augsburger Allgemeine ". She has been a freelance writer and journalist since the early 1950s ; from 1964 until her death she lived in Puch near Hallein in the province of Salzburg . She was married to the composer Hermann Regner, who died in 2008 . In 1978 she took part in the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition in Klagenfurt .

Catarina Carsten was the author of narrative works, features , poems , plays and radio plays .

Catarina Carsten was a member of the Austrian PEN Club . In 1977 she received the Alma Johanna Koenig Prize for her story Conversations with Lebbin ; In 1984 she was Rauris market clerk .
