Catarina Coresi Lal

Catarina Coresi Lal (* 20th century ) is a Romanian opera singer with a soprano voice .

Career

Catarina Coresi Lal studied singing at the Bucharest Music Academy and completed a master's degree in opera repertoire; in musicology she received a doctorate. At the age of 19 Catharina Coresi was engaged at the operetta theater “Ion Dacian” in Bucharest , whereupon appearances at the National Opera Bucharest , Philharmonic “G. Enescu "Bucharest, Romanian Radio, Philharmonic" Banatul "Temesvar, Philharmonic" M. Jora “Bacau, the Botoșani Philharmonic, the Craiova Lyric Theater and the Brașov Music Theater followed. At the same time she began an international career with guest appearances and tours in Germany, Austria, France, Great Britain, Holland, Belgium. She has lived in Vienna since 1998 and was a soloist with the Hofburg Orchestra from 1999 to 2009. As part of the “Festivalo dell 'Arte”, Castel Gandolfo, Catarina Coresi performed excerpts from Verdi's Macbeth , Bellinis Norma and Verdi's La traviata in the welcoming concert for Pope Benedict XIV, under the direction of Rinaldo Muratori .

Catarina Coresi Lal is married to the singer Theodore Coresi .

She has made guest appearances at the National Opera in Bratislava and at  Schloss Neuwaldegg Vienna (Lady Macbeth / Macbeth ), at the National Opera Bucharest (Violetta / La traviata , Lady Macbeth and Abigaille / Nabucco ), at the Teatro de la Ciudad Mexico (25 Anos Festival de México en el Centro Historico, Donna Anna), in the Bergen opera (Olympia, Giulietta, Antonia and Stella in Hoffmann's stories ), in the Teatro Marrucino (Nedda / Pagliacci ), in the Kronstadt opera (Norma, Violetta and Fiordiligi / Così fan tutte ), in the Philharmonie Hermannstadt (Fiordiligi), in the concert hall of the Forbidden City Beijing and in the Arenum Bergen (AL Weber's Requiem , Mozart's Requiem ), in the opera Constanța (Floria Tosca / Tosca , Violetta and Leonora / Il trovatore ), Philharmonie Bucharest and Arad (Verdi : Requiem ), Philharmonie Temesvar (Beethoven, 9th Symphony ) and the Opera nights by Corvins Castle Hunedoara (Violetta). As part of the quarter festival in 2013 she was Marilyn Monroe in the world premiere of Roland Baumgartner's “Marilyn Monroe Trial” with her husband. She also played the role of "stepmother" in the opera Cinderella by Alma Deutscher .
