Caterina Muth

Caterina Muth (born June 30, 1958 in Lenzen (Elbe) ) is a German politician ( Die Linke ).

Life

Muth attended the polytechnic high school and trained as a maintenance mechanic. This was followed by a degree as an engineer for water management at the Magdeburg Engineering School and a distance learning course for a graduate engineer for water management at the TU Dresden . Then she was in the Erfurt water management and in the Neubrandenburg repair shop . Towards the end of the GDR she trained as a tailor and was a teacher for costume and machine science at the Neubrandenburg Chamber of Crafts and in the trade as a tailor.

Caterina Muth is married and has two children.

From 1990 to 2002 Muth was a member of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania state parliament . From 1994 to 1999 she was also the leader of the PDS parliamentary group in the state parliament, but resigned this post after she was suspected of shoplifting , which she also confessed to. After her time in the state parliament, she trained at the graphic and design school in Anklam and then worked as a designer at Heussen GmbH Geldern and part-time as a graphic designer. In 2006 she became a freelance graphic designer at designmuth. From 2004 to 2009 she was councilwoman in Neubrandenburg and chairwoman of the finance committee there.
