Catherine Mühlemann (born September 15, 1966 in Bern ) is a Swiss media manager.

Life

Mühlemann studied German literature , media studies , public law and business administration at the University of Bern . In 1994 she began her professional career as a media officer at the Swiss public television SF DRS. From 1997, she was in charge of the development of the second channel SF2 as well as the program strategy of the two channels SF1 and SF2. In 1999 Mühlemann switched to the first Swiss private channel, TV3, as program director and member of the management team .

In May 2001 Mühlemann followed the call of MTV Networks and took over the management of the two broadcasters MTV and VH1 in Germany, Austria and Switzerland as CEO MTV Central.
