Catherine "Kitty" Sarah Dorothea Pakenham (born January 14, 1773 , † April 24 or 25, 1831 in Apsley House, Hyde Park Corner, Mayfair , London , England ) was the daughter of Edward Michael Pakenham, 2nd Baron Longford (1743 –1792), and Catherine Rowley († 1816). She was the wife of Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington , whom she married on April 10, 1806 in St. George's Church in Dublin .

The marriage between Kitty and Arthur did not go very well. The first time he asked for her hand, her family was reluctant to marry. It wasn't until 1804, when Arthur successfully returned from India , that the two were allowed to marry.

They had little in common, however: while Arthur Wellesley was an imposing, orderly man who insisted on military discipline, Kitty was considered frivolous and easy-going.

Kitty and Arthur Wellesley had two children together: Arthur Richard Wellesley (born February 3, 1807) and Charles Wellesley (born January 16, 1808).
