Cathrin-Theres "Cathy" Zimmermann (born October 6, 1981 in Vienna ) is an Austrian television, radio and event presenter.

life and career

She started primary school when she was five and graduated from school when she was 17 . She then studied at the Vienna University of Economics and Business , before taking her diploma in business Italian and moving to the Vienna Interpreting Institute. In addition, she had completed six years of dance training at the Prayner Conservatory in Vienna.

In October 2005 Zimmermann started her television career as a weather presenter for the Austrian private broadcaster ATV . In April 2007 she was nominated for a Romy in the category “Shooting Star of the Year”.

In addition, Cathy Zimmermann also moderated the morning broadcast on Radio Energy 104.2 from Monday to Friday.

In April 2009 she switched to ORF , where she was poached by the public broadcaster during an ATV program presentation. In various castings, she was finally able to assert herself for the regional broadcast Lower Austria today .

In 2011 Zimmermann took part in the sixth season of the ORF show Dancing Stars . She made it to the 7th round.

In July 2011 Zimmermann announced that he would be leaving ORF Niederösterreich at the end of the year. The reason for this was, according to her own statements, her mother's intestinal obstruction, which almost cost her her life. In the future, she would no longer devote herself to news and infotainment , but more to entertainment. In February 2012 she began training in life, grief and dying care. She now works as an event host and once a week as a dying companion.

In addition, Zimmermann pursues various activities as a model. For example, she did photo shoots with Wiener magazine for the Austrian Playboy , and was a model at the Life Ball and at the Vienna Fashion Week. She also sang the official song for the 2014 European Football Championship in Austria entitled "Let's go!".

Private

Cathy Zimmermann was born in Vienna and is an only child. She was with ORF ZIB 20 presenter Roman Rafreider romantically involved until 2012.
