The Cebuano-language Wikipedia (Cebuano: Wikipedya sa Sinugboanon) is the edition of the free online encyclopedia Wikipedia on Cebuano (also known as Visayan ).

It was founded in June 2005 and, with around 5.4 million articles, more than 99 percent of which were created by bots , is the second largest Wikipedia after the English language Wikipedia.

Significance for the language area

It is the largest Filipino-language Wikipedia by number of articles, ahead of Wáray-Wáray Wikipedia and Wikipedia in Tagalog .

Cebuano is the second most widely spoken language in the Philippines, with approximately 20 million speakers. In Cebuano there are currently no printed dictionaries or encyclopedias , nor are there any others on the Internet.
