Ceduna is located on a sandy and sheltered bay with small offshore islands that are ideal for beach holidays, fishing and boat trips. There are restaurants, hotels, motels, caravan parks and a hospital in the village. There is a port three kilometers away at Cape Thevenard. Ceduna is famous for its oysters and its annual oyster festival in October. Whales can be seen between July and October. The Norfolk fir is distinctive for the place , and Aboriginal settlements are located near the place. Ceduna is considered the gateway to the Nullarbor Desert . In addition, parks such as Yumbarra National Park , Nullarbor National Park , Nuyts Archipelago Conservation Park , an archipelago and Pureba Conservation Park can be visited.
