financing

The CER is funded by a variety of corporate donors, including some of the world's largest corporations as well as AIG Europe , Barclays , Deutsche Bank , Fidelity Investments , Goldman Sachs , HSBC , Invesco , JPMorgan Chase , Lloyds Banking Group , Morgan Stanley , Nomura Holdings , North Asset Management, Rothschild & Co. , Standard Chartered Bank and The Vanguard Group include a number of the leading banks and financial services providers.

Support receives the interest group and from the American firm APCO posing as communications service called and originally from Philip Morris Inc. was launched.

Positions

In the run-up to the referendum on the United Kingdom's exit from the EU in 2016, the Center described the European Union as urgently in need of reform, there were too many rules and too much political influence on the part of the Union on the United Kingdom. On April 21, 2016, two months before the referendum, the CER stated: “Great Britain is economically linked to the European Union to a high degree.” (“Britain is highly economically integrated with the EU.”) This indicates an attitude pro EU whereabouts on the part of the center.

Since the referendum on June 23, 2016, which made the UK's exit from the European Union very likely, influencing a possible reform of the EU has seemed hopeless for British lobby groups such as the CER, as it would, under the changed circumstances among the decision-makers of the European Union will be less heard than before. A renaming and realignment of the group is pending.
