The Centro de Artes e Espectáculos (CAE, German: Art and Event Center) is a cultural center in the Portuguese coastal town of Figueira da Foz . It is owned by the city and is now run by the municipal company Figueira Grande Turismo .

Appointed by Pedro Santana Lopes as mayor of Figueira da Foz, it was built according to plans by the architect Luís Marçal Grilo and opened in 2002. It is centrally located, in the immediate vicinity of the municipal museum Museu Municipal Santos Rocha and adjacent to the extensive Parque das Abadias city ​​park .

Concerts (jazz, opera, pop / rock), theater and cabaret performances take place there. It is also the cinema of the city and changing exhibitions mainly of contemporary photographers , painters , and other visual artists . With its wide range of offers, the CAE has become an important event location in the region, which has also gained national importance. In order to improve its profitability, the CAE is increasingly strengthening its activities as a congress center and as an event location for high-profile performances, for example in the area of ​​high-class music events.

The CAE houses a large event hall with 832 seats and a small hall with 200 seats. There is also an open-air event area for 300 and two multi-purpose rooms for a total of 100 people. In addition, various exhibition rooms, an educationally supervised childcare room and shops (books, sheet music and instruments) are housed there, as well as restaurants with an outdoor area facing the adjacent city park. The CAE has its own underground car park with 200 spaces, a Multibanco ATM and various discounted entry regulations for students, families, pensioners and guests at the city's most important hotels.
