The Centrosolar Group AG , headquartered in Munich was a listed group of companies, the photovoltaic sales equipment for private households. The company declared bankruptcy in early 2014 and was wound up.

history

Centrosolar Group

The group was founded in 2005 as Centrosolar AG , a subsidiary of Centrotec Sustainable , which then went public. In the same year, Centrosolar Glas, Solarstocc and Solara became part of the group. Solarsquare and Biohaus PV followed in 2006.

In 2007 the company was renamed Centrosolar Group. Since September 2007 Centrosolar AG has been a subsidiary of the holding company made up of Solara , Biohaus PV Handels GmbH and Solarstocc .

Organic house

Biohaus was founded in Paderborn in 1985 with the aim of serving the market for building biology , environmentally friendly products as well as solar and energy technology. Ten years later, Biohaus became a representative for the Spanish module manufacturer Isofotón . In 1999 there was a comprehensive restructuring. The areas of natural colors / ecological interior construction, insulation technology and property developers were outsourced, and BIOHAUS PV Handels GmbH was founded for the solar technology area . From 2000 BIOHAUS PV Handels GmbH concentrated on sales to wholesalers. 2001 the own brand BIOSOL InDach was developed, which was first produced in the province of Málaga and from 2003 in Paderborn. On May 9, 2006 the company became part of Centrosolar.

Centrosolar glass

The activities of today's Centrosolar Glas go back to the year 1959, when the first manufacture of mirrors and glass refinement began in Fürth . The company called FLABEG became part of the Pilkington Group in 1980 . In 1995 the activities in the field of solar glass began . In 2000 the FLABEG was spun off from Pilkington again. In 2001, the company set up the world's first fully automated production line for solar glass. FLABEG Solarglas was founded as an independent company in 2002 and was acquired by Centrosolar in 2005 and managed as Centrosolar Glas GmbH & Co. KG .

Centrosolar solar power factory

Solara GbR was founded in 1996 and converted into a stock corporation in 1999. In January 2006 Centrosolar acquired the company and in 2008 it was renamed Centrosolar Sonnenstromfabrik GmbH.

The module manufacturer produced at the Wismar site with a capacity of 350 MWp (2011) and 450 employees.

As part of the insolvency of the Centrosolar Group in 2014, the German manufacturer Solarwatt took over the national companies in France and the Netherlands and renamed them Solarwatt France SARL and Solarwatt BV. The American subsidiary Centrosolar America continues to exist in the USA. The subsidiary Ubbink Econergy Solar, which specializes in solar mounting systems, was renamed Renusol in 2009 and has since been taken over twice by other investors. Today it operates under the name Renusol Europe and is part of the Pari Group. The plant, which produces solar modules at the Wismar location, was also taken over by investors twice, now operates under the name CS Wismar Sonnenstromfabrik and is also part of the Pari Group. The company division, which specializes in self-sufficient solar systems, was bought by former employees from the bankruptcy estate and now operates under the former company name Solara GmbH. Centroplan, which was founded in 2007 as a joint venture between Centrosolar and the Pohlen Group, became the property of the Pohlen Group following the insolvency of Centrosolar.

The main shareholder with 26.14% was Centrotec Sustainable AG until the beginning of October 2012 . This sold its stake on October 3, 2012 over the counter. Most recently, around 89% of the shares were in free float, the Management Board and Supervisory Board held around 11%. In December 2012 the share was included in the ÖkoDAX .

Following the company's insolvency, its listing was discontinued in mid-2015.
