Ch'iyar Quta ( Aymara in German Black Lake , Hispanicized Laguna Chiar Khota ) is a mountain lake in the Cordillera Real . It belongs to the La Paz Department in Bolivia .
The lake is located at an altitude of 4658 m directly at the foot of Pico Austria . On the eastern shore of the lake is the Refugio Condoriri , the base camp for mountain climbs in the Condorigruppe , including the Nevado Condoriri and the Pequeño Alpamayo .
