The Chöpfberg is an 1896  m above sea level. M. high mountain in the Swiss Alps nine kilometers west of Näfels . The border between Trepsental in Canton Schwyz and Niederurnertal in Canton Glarus runs over the mountain .

Together with the Brückler ( 1777  m above sea level ) and Wageten ( 1755  m above sea level ) mountain peaks adjoining it to the east , it forms a three-kilometer mountain ridge that closes the Niederurnertal to the south.

The north side of the mountain drops steeply as a rock face. The Alps on the southern flank are cultivated in summer. Therefore, the responsible farmers operate a transport cable car from the Trepsental ( 1095  m above sea level ) to the Chöpf ( 1456  m above sea level ).
