The Champions Youth Cup football tournament was held for the first time in 2007 . The U-19 selections of 14 clubs from Europe and South America as well as two Asian national teams took part. The winners were the Manchester United youth team .
The tournament took place in seven stadiums, divided between five cities from Malaysia . Most of the games were played in Kuala Lumpur, which has three tournament venues.
Alor Setar: The Darul Aman Stadium , built in 1967 and home to Kedah FA and Kedah JKR, has a capacity of 35,000.
Kuantan: The Darul Makmur Stadium is the home of the club Pahang FC. Built in 1995, it can hold up to 40,000 people.
Malacca: The Hang Jebat Stadium can seat 40,000 spectators. The Telekom Malacca FC and Malacca Football Club stadium was only built in 2004.
Kuching: The Sarawak Stadium , which opened in 1997, has space for up to 40,000 people. It was built on an area of 300,000 m² in Petra Jaya.

Some preliminary round matches will be played in the 18,000-seat KLFA City Stadium . It is the home of Kuala Lumpur Malay Mail and Kuala Lumpur FA.
The Shah Alam Stadium , which is home to Selangor FA, seats 81,000 spectators. It opened in 1994.
The 100,000-seat Bukit Jalil National Stadium was built for the 1998 Commonwealth Games . The semifinals took place there. The final was also held in this stadium.
