Chang Pei-Wei (born March 10, 1979 ) is a Taiwanese pool player . His greatest successes were the runner-up world title in 9-Ball 2004 and the gold medal at the World Games 2005 .

Career

In 2004, Chang finished 13th in the BCA Open 9-Ball Championship. At the 9-Ball World Cup in 2004 , he only lost in the final against Canadian Alex Pagulayan 13:17. In the previous year he was eliminated in the preliminary round. At the World Pool Masters 2004 he lost in the round of 16 against the Dutchman Alex Lely .

In 2005 he was eliminated at the 9-Ball World Cup in the last 64, but won the gold medal at the 2005 World Games by beating the German Thorsten Hohmann in the final . At the 2006 World Pool League , he finished fifth. At the 9-ball world championships in 2006 and 2007 he was eliminated in the preliminary round. At the Japan Open in 2007, he finished fifth.

At the 10-ball world championships in 2008 and 2009 , he was eliminated with a win in the preliminary round. At the China Open 2009 he finished 17th. At the 8-ball World Cup 2010 he was eliminated in the round of 32 against the French Stephan Cohen . At the China Open 2013 he reached 9th place.
