World Pool League 2006

The World Pool League in 2006 was the ninth and last edition is one of Matchroom Sport and the WPA ( World Pool-Billiard Association aligned) 9-Ball - snooker tournament . Like all eight previous tournaments, it took place in Warsaw, Poland. The venue was the NOT Building . Filipino Dennis Orcollo was the winner with an 8: 5 final victory over Niels Feijen from the Netherlands .

Group stage

Six of the best pool players in the world were invited, who first played the four semi-final places in the group phase. It was played according to the mode of every against every , whereby a win was worth two and a tie was worth one point.

Semifinals

The group phase resulted in the games Dennis Orcollo against Ralf Souquet and Niels Feije against Thorsten Hohmann . Orcollo was able to win against Souquet 8: 5, although he had already led 4: 1. In the second game Feijen was able to clearly beat Hohmann 8: 2, so that the final between Dennis Orcollo and Niels Feijen resulted.

In the final, Orcollo quickly took a 3-1 lead, but Feijen came back to 3: 3. In the end, Orcollo won 8: 5 and was able to secure the prize money of 20,000 British pounds.
