Chantal Meek
Chantal Meek (born December 19, 1978 in Kent , England , Great Britain ) is an Australian flatwater canoeist . She took part in the Olympic races in 2004 and 2008 with the Australian K4 boat , while in 2004 with sixth place she was not enough for a medal, she won bronze in 2008.
She began in the 1990s on the canoe marathon route , on which she was Australian champion in the K-1 boat from 1998 to 2001, and third at the World Championships in 2000 and 2001.
In canoe racing, she specializes in the K-4 boat, with which she was able to celebrate several World Cup successes, but also reached several World Cup and World Cup finals in the K-1 boat , for the first time in 2003 in Szeged (World Cup) and Gainesville ( WM). She won her first international medal in K-4 at the 2003 World Cup with bronze. In addition, she became the Australian national canoe racing champion in rows, in 2006 even in all three kayak boat classes.
