Charles Adam (politician)
Charles Adam , German Karl Adam (born November 23, 1848 in Lauterbourg ; † June 2, 1917 there ) was an Alsatian local politician.
Charles Adam was the son of the miller Charles Louis Adam and his wife Marguerite Berigzi. He lived as a landowner in Lauterburg and was mayor of the city from 1882 to 1911 . From 1879 to 1917 he was a member of the District Assembly of Upper Alsace and from 1897 to 1911 he was also a member of the regional committee of the realm of Alsace-Lorraine . He was elected to the state committee by the district assembly.
