Frederick Charles "Charlie" Delahey , sometimes Delahay or Delahaye (born March 19, 1905 in Pembroke , Ontario , † March 17, 1973 in Muskoka , Ontario) was a Canadian ice hockey player . At the Olympic Winter Games in 1928 , he won the gold medal as a member of the Canadian national team.

Career

Charlie Delahey began his career as a hockey player with the Toronto Varsity Grads, with whom he won the Allan Cup , the Canadian amateur championship, in 1927 . The following year he represented Canada with the Varsity Grads at the Winter Olympics. Following the tournament, he played in the Quebec Amateur Hockey Association for the Royal Montreal Hockey Club.

International

For Canada , Delahey took part in the 1928 Winter Olympics in St. Moritz , where he and his team won the gold medal.
