Charles Garland
Charles "Chuck" Stedman Garland (born October 29, 1898 in Pittsburgh , Pennsylvania , † January 28, 1971 in Baltimore , Maryland ) was an American tennis player .
Garland graduated from Yale University . In the 1919 Intercollegiate Championship he won singles and doubles.
Together with his compatriot Richard Norris Williams , he won the doubles competition at Wimbledon in 1920 against Algernon Kingscote and James Parke in four sets with 4: 6, 6: 4, 7: 5 and 6: 2.
Garland was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 1969.
