Charles Oluf "Sassa" Herlofson (born June 15, 1891 in Kristiania , † November 9, 1968 in Oslo ) was a Norwegian football player.

Life

Herlofson began his football career in his youth Idrætsforeningen Viking in Khristiania, today's Oslo, until it was dissolved in 1910. He then went to the Oslo ski and football club Mercantile Ski- og Fotballklubb in 1911 , where he worked with interruptions until the end of the 1920s. In 1912 he also took part in the Summer Olympic Games in football. Herlofson was the first Norwegian professional player who also played in Germany, from 1912 at Hannover 96 . Herlofson also played for the Norwegian national football team and was a total of twelve times for the team from 1910 to 1915, eleven years of which as team captain, including at the football tournament for the 1912 Summer Olympics in Sweden.

He was the younger brother of the Norwegian rower Harald Herlofson .
