Charles K. Tuckerman
Charles Keating Tuckerman (born March 11, 1811 in Boston , Massachusetts ; died February 26, 1896 in Florence ) was an American diplomat and writer.
In 1867 he edited Alexander R. Rangabés Greece: Her Progress and Present Condition . The following year he was appointed the first American ambassador to Greece . His mandate lasted from March 11, 1868 to November 4, 1871.
The writer Henry Theodore Tuckerman was his brother, the architect Arthur Lyman Tuckerman his son.
