Charles Seronei Kibiwott

Charles Seronei Kibiwott (born August 8, 1974 in Kenya ) is a Kenyan marathon runner .

Kibiwott was a police officer and initially a football player. It was not until 2000 that he gave up football and started running.

In 2002 and 2003 he won the Reims Marathon . In 2005 he finished fourth in the Frankfurt Marathon in 2:08:36, just seven seconds behind the winner, Wilfred Kibet Kigen .

In 2006, when he finished third in the Rotterdam Marathon, he increased his best time to 2:06:52. In the Chicago Marathon , however, he only finished 13th due to injury. In 2008, he finished fifth in the Seoul International Marathon .

Kibiwott has been part of KIMbia, Dieter Hogen's training group, since 2005 .
