Charles Leweck (born July 19, 1983 ) is a former Luxembourg soccer player and current coach .

Career

Leweck comes from the youth work of the Luxembourg club Young Boys Diekirch . In 2003 he was signed by Etzella Ettelbrück and played there until 2010 in 147 games, in which he scored 25 goals and in 2004 was a finalist in the Luxembourg Cup. In 2010 the midfielder joined Jeunesse Esch with his brother Alphonse . After just one season, the brothers returned to Etzella Ettelbrück in 2011.

On the last day of the 2012/13 season , Charles Leweck was seriously injured in the game at F91 Dudelange in a collision with Philippe Hahm, the goalkeeper of his own team. Leweck broke eight ribs, one of which pierced his lungs.

In May 2014 it was announced that he will be the player-coach at FC 72 Erpeldingen from the 2014/15 season . There he ended his engagement at the Sauer in 2019 after relegation to the third division.

National team

From 2004 to 2012 Charles Leweck played a total of 39 times for the Luxembourg national soccer team . He made his debut on August 18, 2004 when he lost 3-1 to Slovakia .
