Career
society
Leweck began his football career at Young Boys Diekirch , where he played in the youth department until the summer of 2000. After half a year he moved to the first division team Etzella Ettelbrück , with whom Leweck finished third in the league at the end of the season. He soon came to regular appearances and played his way into the club's starting line-up. In 2002 and 2003, the midfielder and his team reached the final of the Luxembourg Cup . In 2002 they lost 0: 1 against CS Grevenmacher , in the following year 1: 3 after extra time against F91 Dudelange . Also in 2002 he had to play with the club as the bottom of the table in the relegation round to keep up. There they did not prevail against Swift Hesperingen , Sporting Mertzig and Progrès Niederkorn and had to relegate. But the team managed to get promoted again and lost a total of only one game during the season.
Back in the first division Leweck earned third place with Etzella and qualified for the championship round. However, they were only third of four teams and thus missed qualifying for the UEFA Cup . The following year the team was runner-up behind F91 Dudelange . Until 2007/08, the club was never worse than fourth.
In the summer of 2010, Leweck and his brother Charles decided to move to last year's champion Jeunesse Esch . There the midfielder received a two-year contract. After just one season, the brothers returned to Etzella Ettelbrück in 2011. Since 2014 he has been a player-coach with his brother at the Luxembourg third division club FC 72 Erpeldingen .
National team
On February 14, 2002 Leweck made his senior national team debut in the game against Albania . On October 13, 2007, in his first game for the national team after a long injury break, the midfielder scored the 1-0 winning goal against Belarus in the 95th minute of the game . It was the first victory of a Luxembourg national football team in a European Championship qualification since 1995 . Leweck also scored the winning goal in the 2-1 sensational victory in the World Cup qualification against the favored Swiss . The offensive player completed 54 international matches, scoring four goals. In 2009 he ended his career in the national team.
