history
The club was founded on September 21, 1908 as Football Club Diekirch . On February 10, 1909, it was given its current name by adding Young Boys . During the German occupation of Luxembourg in World War II , the club was called FK Diekirch from 1940 . In 1944 it was renamed Young Boys .
With the exception of the 1915/16 season, the club played between 1914 and 1919 in the National Division , the highest Luxembourg division.
Only in the seasons 1950/51 and 1978/79 succeeded in returning to first class for one season each. Since then, the Young Boys have been commuting between the honorary doctorate and the third-class 1st division.
Did the club just manage to stay in league in 2012 with a 6: 4 on penalties (2: 2 n.V., 6: 4 i. E.) in the barrage game against the second in the 1st division, 2nd district , Sporting Club Steinfort , relegation from the honorary doctorate in 2013 with only one win and 25 defeats in 26 games was inevitable. At the end of the 2013/14 season, another relegation to the fourth-class 2nd division followed.
When participating in the Coupe de Luxembourg , the team reached the semifinals three times, but failed to the later cup winners Jeunesse Esch (1: 1 and 0: 4, 1976), Red Boys Differdingen (1: 2 and 1: 2, 1979) and Union Luxembourg (0: 3, 1989).
