Charles de Levin
Charles de Levin , Lord of Famars , Lousart and Thoricourt († July 30, 1592 near Ootmarsum ) was a military commander in the Eighty Years' War .
Charles de Levin became general of the Dutch artillery in 1586 after having been present at Valenciennes in 1566 and at Mechelen in 1572 . Under the rule of Prince William I of Orange he was general of the cavalry and in 1586 governor of the fortress Heusden . In 1592 he attended the siege of Steenwijk and fell at Ootmarsum that year.
