Charles de Schomberg (born February 16, 1601 in Nanteuil-le-Haudouin , † June 6, 1656 in Paris ) was Duke of Halluin and a French military leader under Cardinal Richelieu and his successor Jules Mazarin .

Life

Charles was born the son of Marshal of France Henri de Schomberg and his first wife Françoise d'Espinay. The Schomberg are a sideline of the Saxon noble family Schönberg .
