Charley Jordan
Charley Jordan (born January 1, 1890 in Mabelville , Arkansas , † November 15, 1954 in St. Louis , Missouri ) was an American blues singer, guitarist and songwriter. It is attributed to the St. Louis Blues .
Jordan recorded numerous pieces for Vocalion and Decca Records . From the 1920s to the 1940s, he worked with well-known blues musicians such as Peetie Wheatstraw , Roosevelt Sykes , Casey Bill Weldon , Memphis Minnie and Big Joe Williams . In 1928 he was injured in the backbone in a shooting.
Charley Jordan died of pneumonia in 1954.
