Auguste Erdmuthe Charlotte Kanitz , b. Hey , mate. Heinsius (born February 24, 1773 in Dobrilugk ; † 1826 ), pseudonym Lotte Berthold , was a German writer .

Charlotte Kanitz was the sister of Henriette Heun (1765-1850), the wife of Georg Joachim Göschens , and sister of the writer Carl Gottlieb Samuel Heun (* 1771 in Dobrilugk; † 1854 in Berlin).

Life

Charlotte Heun received French lessons from a private tutor and from her stepmother.

She married the Protestant bookseller and bibliographer Johann Wilhelm Immanuel Heinsius (born July 28, 1768 in Leipzig; † October 1, 1817 in Gera) in Leipzig in 1792 . In addition, the work was published wedding poems (with melody) and wedding jokes for the wedding celebration of Wilhelm Heinsius with Charlotte Heun , Dobrilugk and Leipzig in 1792.

Stories for children have been passed down from her since 1801, which were initially published together with Karl August Gottlieb Seidel (1754–1822). In the subtitle the names of their children Julius, Carl, Louise and Betti are mentioned.

Kanitz separated from Wilhelm Heinsius in 1805 and married the government secretary Friedrich Carl Kanitz († March 25, 1826 in Merseburg ) in 1807 and last lived in the house of her son-in-law Schimpf in Merseburg.
