Charlotte Schreiter

Charlotte Schreiter is a German classical archaeologist .

Life

After studying classical archeology, prehistory and the ancient history at the University of Munich with the final M. A. in 1988, Schreiter was at the 1991 University of Cologne in Henner of Hesberg doctorate . From 1991 to 1995 she worked at the Archaeological Park / Regional Museum Xanten, initially as a scientific trainee in the areas of museum and public relations, then as an employee for the research project "Roman wall painting in Xanten". From 1996 to 1999 she was director of the Voswinckelshof Museum in Dinslaken . From 1999 to 2008 she worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Art History at the Humboldt University in Berlin , where she worked on the Census of Antique Works of Art and Architecture Known in the Renaissance project . From 2008 to 2012 she conducted research at the Humboldt University within the framework of the CRC Transformations of Antiquity on "plaster cast collections in the 19th century". In 2010, the habilitation took place there with the font Antike at any price. Plaster casts and copies of ancient plastic in Central Germany at the end of the 18th century. After completing her habilitation, she became a private lecturer at the Winckelmann Institute .

From 2012 to 2016 Schreiter was director of the LVR-RömerMuseum in the Archaeological Park Xanten and since 2016 she has been a scientific advisor at the Rheinisches Landesmuseum Bonn . She is also a lecturer at the University of Bochum .
