Charlotte Wiedemann

Charlotte Wiedemann (* 1954 in Mönchengladbach ) is a German journalist and specialist book author.

Life

After completing a master's -Studiums the social , sociology and political science at the University of Goettingen visited Wiedemann the Hamburg School of Journalism (now Henri Nannen School ). This was followed by a job as a local editor for the Buxtehuder Tageblatt . From 1983 to 1999 she was a political correspondent and reporter in Bonn, Hamburg and Berlin for Stern , Die Woche and the daily newspaper . From 1999 to 2003 she lived on the island of Penang (Malaysia) and delivered reports from all over Southeast Asia for German and Swiss media, including Die Zeit , Le Monde diplomatique , newspapers for German and international politics and Neue Zürcher Zeitung .

In 2010, 2016 and 2019, Wiedemann was a tour guide in Iran and Mali .

From 1993 to 2018 she worked as a lecturer in the training of journalists, especially at the Evangelical School of Journalism in Berlin, but also as part of teaching assignments at the University of Erfurt ("The journalistic perception of non-European cultures") and the TU Dortmund ("Reporting on Islamic worlds ").
