Chederick van Wyk (born February 18, 1995 ) is a South African sprinter .

Athletic career

Chederick van Wyk gained his first experience in international championships at the IAAF World Relays 2019 in Yokohama , where he finished second behind the United States in the South African 4 x 200 meter relay in 1: 20.42 minutes. In July, he won the silver medal over 100 and 200 meters behind Brazilian Paulo André de Oliveira at the Summer Universiade in Naples in 10.23 s and 20.44 s respectively . In addition, he did not finish with the 4 x 100 meter relay in the lead. He then took part in the Africa Games in Rabat for the first time , where he finished sixth over 100 meters in 10.31 s and was eliminated in the semi-finals over 200 meters with 21.22 s. He also won the bronze medal behind the teams from Ghana and Nigeria with the 4 x 100 meter relay in 38.80 seconds.
