Paulo André Camilo de Oliveira (born August 20, 1998 in Vila Velha ) is a Brazilian sprinter .

Athletic career

Paulo André de Oliveira gained his first experience in international championships at the 2015 Junior South American Championships in Cuenca , where he finished fourth in the 200-meter run in 21.24 s and with the Brazilian 4 x 100 meter relay in 39 , Won the gold medal in 90s. He was then at the Youth World Championships in Cali in 10.83 s eighth over 100 meters and could not finish his 200 meter run. The following year he was used at the Ibero-American Championships in Rio de Janeiro in the relay in the preliminary run, which later won the silver medal. He then finished fifth in the 100-meter run at the U20 World Championships in 10.29 s and was disqualified with the relay in the preliminary run. In 2017 he won the silver medal over 100 meters at the Pan American Junior Championships in Trujillo in 10.46 s and could not finish his prerun over 200 meters. At the Ibero-American Championships 2018, which also took place in Trujillo, he won over 100 meters in 10.27 s and also with the Brazilian relay in 38.78 s.

In 2019, he won the World Relays in Yokohama in 38.05 seconds with the 4 x 100 meter relay and did not finish with the 4 x 200 meter relay. He then won the Summer Universiade in Naples in 10.09 seconds over 100 meters and in 20.28 seconds over 200 meters before finishing seventh with the relay in 83.05 seconds. In August he finally won the silver medal over 100 meters in 10.16 s at the Pan American Games in Lima behind the American Mike Rodgers . He also won the Brazilian relay in 38.27 s. At the World Championships in Doha he reached the semifinals over 100 meters , in which he was eliminated with 10.14 s. Over 200 meters he retired with 20.75 s in the run and was fourth in the relay in 37.72 s. At the end of October he won the silver medal behind the Iranian Hassan Taftian at the World Military Games in Wuhan in 10.32 seconds and won the relay in 38.68 seconds.

From 2017 to 2019 de Oliveira was the Brazilian champion in the 100-meter run and in 2018 and 2019 also in the 4-by-100-meter relay. He is the son of the former Brazilian sprinter Carlos José Camilo de Oliveira .
