The Chemical Risk Reduction Ordinance ( ORRChem ) is a Swiss piece of legislation that prohibits or restricts the handling of particularly dangerous substances, preparations and objects or regulates their handling at ordinance level . In 2005, the ORRChem replaced the Ordinance on Environmentally Hazardous Substances (Substances Ordinance).
The ordinance contains applications that require authorization and authorization requirements for the use of plant protection products , pesticides , disinfectants and wood preservatives . The handling of refrigerants is also regulated.
The provisions of the European RoHS directive were incorporated into national law in the ORRChem (Annex 2.18).
The ORRChem also applies in Liechtenstein .
