The Budenheim KG is an on phosphate production company specializing in Budenheim am Rhein .

history

The company was founded in 1908 as "Chemische Fabrik Budenheim Utz und Hensel" and initially dealt with the production of tartaric salts from raw tartar . After the First World War , the company management changed the corporate strategy and from then on relied on the production of phosphates as a baking powder propellant for baked goods. The Budenheim chemical factory has been part of the Oetker Group since 1923 .

Products are aluminum phosphates , ammonium phosphates , barium phosphates , boron phosphates , calcium phosphates , carbamide phosphates , iron phosphates , potassium phosphates , copper phosphates , lithium phosphates , magnesium phosphates , manganese phosphates , sodium phosphates , phosphonates , phosphoric acid and zinc phosphates .

In 2012, around 680 people were employed at the Budenheim location and around 1000 products with a total of around 230,000 t were manufactured.

Chemische Fabrik Budenheim has subsidiaries such as Budenheim Ibérica (La Zaida, Ribera Baja del Ebro ), Budenheim Eqisa ( Monterrey , Mexico), Emaphos ( Jorf Lasfar , Morocco), Budenheim Shanghai ( Shanghai , China), Budenheim India and Budenheim US ( Columbus , UNITED STATES).
