Chen Lin (singer)

Chen Lin ( Chinese  陈琳 , Pinyin Chén Lín ; born January 31, 1970 in Chongqing , † October 31, 2009 in Beijing ) was a Chinese singer who campaigned against child poverty in the People's Republic of China .

Her debut album sold 1.5 million times in the People's Republic alone. She also worked on the project Encounters - An Alliance for Children by Peter Maffay . She supported the Project Hope organization of the China Youth Development Foundation ( 中国 青少年 发展 基金会 ) and the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding organization .

Emotional problems were the reason that Chen killed himself on October 31, 2009.
