Caren Miosga (born April 11, 1969 in Peine ) is a German television presenter and journalist . On July 16, 2007, she succeeded Anne Will as the presenter of the Tagesthemen .

Life

Caren Miosga grew up in Ilsede and attended the local high school. After studying history and Slavic studies in Hamburg , she worked for the radio stations Radio Schleswig-Holstein , Radio Hamburg , N-Joy and the television station RTL -Nord. In addition to her studies, she also worked as a tour guide in Saint Petersburg and Moscow and reported for radio from Russia . In 1999 she went to NDR television and moderated the culture journal and from 2003 until the beginning of her parental leave in 2005, the media magazine Zapp . From May 2006 she moderated the ARD culture magazine ttt - titel, thesen, temperamente . The following year she became the new presenter for Tagesthemen . She moderates this program alternately with Ingo Zamperoni (representing both: Pinar Atalay ). In 2017, together with Marietta Slomka and Peter Kloeppel, she received the Golden Camera in the 'Best Information' category for the three programs Tagesthemen , heute-journal and RTL Aktuell .

Miosga has been married to the pathologist Tobias Grob since 2007 and has two daughters with him (* 2006 and 2010).
