The Cherven Peak (English; Bulgarian връх Червен wrach Cherven ) is a 224 m high and rocky mountain on Rugged Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It rises 1.04 km west of Herring Point , 0.83 km north of San Stefano Peak , 3.9 km east-southeast of Cape Sheffield and 0.7 km southeast of Ivan Vladislav Point .
Spanish scientists mapped it in 1992, Bulgarian in 2009. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2006 after various places in Bulgaria .
