The Ivan Vladislav Point (English; Bulgarian нос Иван Владислав nos Iwan Wladislaw ) is a headland on the north coast of Rugged Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . As an extension of Cherven Peak , it is 1.63 km west-northwest of Herring Point , 0.4 km east-northeast of Simitli Point and 3.27 km east-southeast of Cape Sheffield .

British scientists mapped them in 1968, Spanish in 1992 and Bulgarian in 2005 and 2009. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named them in 2006 Iwan Wladislaw († 1018), the penultimate tsar of the first Bulgarian empire from 1015 until his death .
