Chiang Rai City FC ( Thai : สโมสร ฟุตบอล เชียงราย ซิตี้) is a Thai football club from Chiang Rai , which plays in the Thai League 3 - Upper , the third highest division in Thailand.

Club history

The club was founded in 2010. It starts in the third division, in the Regional League Division 2 . Here the club played in the North Region until 2016. The best placement in 2015 was a second place. After the league reform in 2017, the club played in the Thai League 4, also in the North region. After you had occupied a second place you rose to the third division, the Thai League 3 . Chiangrai plays here in the Upper region. In the first year they finished 12th.

The club plays its home games at the Chiangrai Province Stadium (Thai: สนาม กีฬา กลาง จ. เชียงราย หรือ สนาม กีฬา อบ จ. เชียงราย) in Chiang Rai . The multi-purpose stadium has a capacity of 5000 spectators. The stadium is owned by the Chiangrai Provincial Administration Organization.
