Chic Johnson
Harold Ogden "Chic" Johnson (born March 15, 1891 in Chicago , Illinois , † February 28, 1962 in Las Vegas , Nevada ), was an American comedian , actor and author . He is best known as a stage and film partner of Ole Olsen .
Life
Chic Johnson started out as a ragtime pianist . In 1914 he played in the same band with Ole Olsen. After the band broke up, they first appeared together in Chicago as Olsen and Johnson . They continued this collaboration until Chic Johnson fell ill in the late 1950s. With Ernest Breuer (music) the two wrote the song Oh! Gee, Oh! Gosh, oh! I'm in love .
Chic Johnson died of kidney failure in 1962.
