Chicala Cholohanga (also Tchikala-Tcholohanga , Tchikala-tcholo , Tchicala-Tcholoanga and similar variants) is a small town and a district in Angola .
history
The place had the Portuguese place name Vila Nova . After Angola's independence in 1975, it was given its current name.

Chicala Cholohanga is the seat of a district of the same name ( Município ) in the province of Huambo . The district covers an area of 4380 km² and has 114,597 inhabitants (2008 extrapolation). From now on, the 2014 census should provide reliable population data.
