The Chichester River is a river in the east of the Australian state of New South Wales .
It rises below Mount McKenzie in Barrington Tops National Park . From there it flows southeast and flows into the Williams River at Bandon Grove .
At 184 m above sea level, the Chichester River flows through the Chichester Reservoir , which was created to supply the larger cities in the lower Hunter Valley with drinking water . The Wangat River also flows there.
