Chinaza Amadi (born September 12, 1987 ) is a Nigerian long jumper .

Athletic career

Chinaza Amadi gained her first international experience at the 2006 African Championships in Bambous , where she won the bronze medal with 6.23 m behind the Cameroonian Joséphine Mbarga-Bikié and Kéné Ndoye from Senegal. The following year she was fourth at the African Games in Algiers with 6.33 m and in 2008 she won the silver medal behind South African Janice Josephs at the African Championships in Nairobi with 6.31 m . In 2012 she reached sixth place at the African Championships in Porto-Novo with 6.04 m and two years later she won the silver medal behind her compatriot Ese Brume at the championships in Marrakech with 6.40 m . In 2015 she originally won the Africa Games in Brazzaville , but was later convicted of doping and her gold medal was revoked. It was also blocked until September 2019.

From 2015 Amadi became the Nigerian champion in the long jump.
