action

On the eve of his tenth birthday, Chippa receives a letter from his great aunt from his father, who left the family a long time ago. This is written in Urdu, and since neither he nor anyone in Chippa's environment can read the letter, he starts looking for a translator. The relationship with his great-aunt has not been good for a few weeks anyway, and he hopes that if he knows the contents of the letter, he may find his father. His search leads Chippa through the streets of Calcutta on this eventful night.

Safar, a graduate of Jadavpur University, had worked in Delhi as a lecturer for Teach For India for a few years and taught at a primary school in the slums of Seelampur before returning to his hometown Calcutta in 2014. Rahman explained, “The film is set in the Park Circus in Calcutta. It's about the immigrants who live there. I tried to capture a new aspect of the city. "

Rahman will play the title role of Chippa with child actor Sunny Pawar , who made his actor debut in the 2016 film Lion: The Long Walk Home .
