Chitchai Wannasathit (born August 13, 1946 in Ubon Ratchathani ) is a politician , he was the acting Prime Minister of Thailand .

life and career

Chitchai Wannasathit is married to Khunying Archara Wannasathit.

Chtichai received a bachelor's degree in public administration from Police Cadet Academy in Bangkok in 1970 , a master's degree in police administration from Eastern Kentucky Administration University , USA, in 1973 , and a doctorate in justice administration from Justice Administration University Louisville in 1976 .

Between 1970 and 1971, Chitchai worked in the Metropolitan Police Bureau , Bangkok, and was then an officer in the police secretary's office until 1976. After receiving his doctorate, he worked as a permanent lecturer at the Royal Police Cadet Academy. During his work, Chitchai dealt in particular with the fight against drugs ( intoxicants ) and in 1983 became superintendent at the central investigative authority. Eventually he became a commissioner of the Royal Police Cadet Academy and from 1997 to 2000 a commissioner at the Thai immigration authority . After several posts at the police department, Chitchai was appointed Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice on August 2, 2005 .

During Thaksin Shinawatra's withdrawal from day-to-day operations, Chitchai was the acting Prime Minister of Thailand in April / May 2006.
