Chiukepo Msowoya (born September 23, 1988 in Karonga ) is a Malawian football player .
Career
society
Chiukepo Msowoya started his career in the youth team of KRADD Eagles and Red Lions Zomba in Malawi. In 2007 he moved to the league competitor Super ESCOM , for whose team he played in the highest Malawian league, the TNM Super League . A year later he left his homeland and moved to Liga Muçulmana de Maputo in Mozambique. The striker played for a year at Campeonato Moçambicano de Futebol before moving to Rwandan club APR FC in 2009. After a season for APR FC in the Rwandan Primus National Soccer League , he moved to South Africa to the Orlando Pirates . He played for the Pirates for a year and a half before they loaned him to the Platinum Stars in January 2012. He scored in 4 games for the Platinum Stars and scored 1 goal. In June 2012 he returned to the Orlando Pirates, who in turn terminated the current contract with him.
After his contract termination, he returned to his homeland Malawi in August 2012 and has been under contract with Escom United Blantyre ever since.
National team
The attacker made his debut for the Malawian national soccer team in 2006 . During qualification for the 2010 World Cup , he played ten games for Malawi and scored six goals. He failed with the national team in the third qualifying round against Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso and Guinea. The striker was appointed to the squad of the Malawian national team for the 2010 African Cup . In the three group matches against Algeria, Angola and Mali, he was used as a substitute and remained in the tournament without a goal. Msowoya took part in the 2012 CECAFA Cup in winter 2012 .
