Chladni is a small impact crater on the front of the moon on the northern edge of the Sinus Medii , west of the Triesnecker crater and south of Ukert . The crater is bowl-shaped with a flat bottom and little eroded.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the German physicist Ernst Florens Friedrich Chladni .
